3HR State of Florida Concealed Firearms License Course

This Course teaches the student the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe, and efficient use of a firearm for protection of self and family. It provides information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. This training is the basic acceptable Firearms Training Course to apply for Florida Concealed Firearm License. Such license is valid in 37 other states. You must be 21years of age or older, the license is good for 7 years.
Topics include the following: Basic Pistol Fundamentals, Safe Firearms Handling, de-escalation, primary causes of firearm accidents, firearm parts, how to load, and unload the firearm, ammunition components, safely storing the firearm, Review Florida Gun Laws, Federal Laws, reciprocity, Self-Defense Laws. Along with take home copies of the most current Statutes (Laws).
STUDENT REQUIRED MATERIAL
A Picture ID. A driver license or a state-issued identification card with a picture is acceptable
STUDENT TO INSTRUCTOR RATIO
There will be no more than 10 (ten) students for everyone (1) instructor. In short,
1:10 ratio
COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE
Per Florida Statute 790.06 you will receive 2 copies of Certificate of Firearms Safety Course signed by the NRA Certified Instructors, and the Instructor’s ID number

CLASSROOM DRY FIRE CLASSROOM SAFETY BRIEF
Without exception prior to entering the classroom session of the Course which requires “NO LIVE AMMUNITION”
Instructor along with another RSO “If available” will conduct a
Full Security Screening, and crosscheck inspection to each Student’s Firearm, Range Bag, Equipment, in addition each student will receive a PAT-DOWN by a Cadre of the Same Gender. Each students empties his/her pockets, hats, etc for visual and physical Inspection. Along with Installing each firearm with a chamber Safety Flag for additional safety. Up to and Including checking the Room for possible live ammunition. Removing any live ammo personally to a secure location OUTSIDE the Classroom.
.Making the entire INTERIOR of the classroom Pass the Entrance Door “STERILE AREA”. Lastly prior to any dryfire.
Instructor will Inform Student the SAFE direction to point the Firearm.
This process will happen upon Re-entry to the “STERILE AREA”.
